The corrupt corporate media seems afraid to investigate the controversial claim that sitting Vice President Kamala Harris once worked at McDonald's.
For years, Harris has used the fact that she worked at McDonald's while in college to assert her middle-class legitimacy (also up for debate).
Harris, 59, has been a public figure for two decades but is not on record as having mentioned the job prior to her unsuccessful 2019 presidential bid.
McDonald's work has figured into her 2024 campaign and has been featured prominently in her election ads.
But there is no public record indicating Harris ever worked at McDonald's, and it is not mentioned in the two memoirs she wrote in 2010 and 2019, nor in a 1987 application for a law clerk position in the Alameda County District Attorney's Office. Required Applicants listed every job they'd had in the past 10 years, including time spent working at McDonald's.
Even more bizarre, the Harris campaign has refused to verify the jobs, something that would be easy to do by simply listing old tax documents or franchise locations.
Most telling has been the media's response to all of this: Every time former President Donald Trump brought up Harris' work at McDonald's and his legitimate doubts about whether she ever worked there, for example, the mainstream media either ignored him entirely, fact-checked him in bizarre terms, painted the doubters as liars, or derided him as a “maniac.”
The left-leaning PolitiFact Absurd Fact check: “No, McDonald's is not saying it has 'no record' of Kamala Harris working for the fast-food chain.”
So, did McDonald's admit that she worked there? We don't know. It's a fact that PolitiFact, like the rest of the media, is afraid to find out. So instead of acknowledging the only fact that matters, PolitiFact is cleverly making it seem like anyone who questions Harris' McDonald's claim is a liar.

So what does the media do when Trump dares to raise this issue? Instead of investigating a legitimate issue (the possibility that a presidential candidate has repeatedly lied about his employment history), the media attacks Trump…
These links are not from mainstream corporate media.
Besides dutifully repeating Harris' McDonald's employment claims, CNN, ABC, NBC, CBS, PBS and NPR Washington Post, and The New York Times From what I can see, they are ignoring Trump's criticism as an apparent way to avoid elevating the McDonald's case into their own investigation, which they clearly do not want to do.
This tells us two things…
First, none of Harris' many media allies have been able to confirm that she worked at McDonald's, because if confirmed, the confirmation would be shoved up Trump's ass for at least a week, and I would not be at all surprised if one or more of these outlets knew for a fact that Harris lied about working at McDonald's and are refusing to report on it.
Second, the media is afraid to investigate the McDonald's issue because they are afraid that Harris will be found out to have lied, and they all know how much that would hurt her campaign, so they are ignoring legitimate news stories in order to buy time until Election Day.
Once the election is over and the big stuff is over, the media will investigate it. But we know this…
No one has been able to verify whether Harris told the truth about the job, because we all know it.
