Coca-Cola has revealed it will discontinue its Spiced flavours less than a year after their release, but has promised to launch “exciting” new flavours soon.
The Spiced flavor was released in the U.S. and Canada on February 19th, just seven months before it was canned, marking the first alternative to traditional Coca-Cola offered in the U.S. in three years.
The company describes the drink as “a combination of the traditional taste of Coca-Cola with the refreshing flavor of raspberry and a selection of warm spices.”
Coca-Cola remains tight-lipped about its signature recipe, declining to reveal what spices it added to Raspberry Cola to distinguish it from the original.
Spiced isn't the first alternative to regular Coca-Cola, but it apparently won't be the last: the company revealed plans to launch “exciting new flavors in 2025.” As he told Fox Business.
Just two weeks ago, Coca-Cola released a limited edition Oreo flavor, but it was only available at 7-Eleven, Speedway and Stripes stores in the US.
The loss will have little impact on Coca-Cola's popularity, which has outperformed other brands such as Dr Pepper and Pepsi-Cola almost every year for the past four decades. According to the Wall Street Journal:.

Coca-Cola has not given any specific reasons for discontinuing the flavor, but it's likely that the name was misleading to consumers, as the flavor contained none of the anticipated spice notes and only a hint of the anticipated raspberry notes.
