UFO flying over Canada shot down by US in Feb. 2023 seen in new picture

Newly released images showing a UFO shot down by a US fighter jet over Canada in 2023 have further raised doubts and uncertainty about the object hovering over the Yukon River.

The grainy, blurry image was taken just days before a “cylindrical” “suspicious balloon” was removed at 40,000 feet above the North American continent in February 2023. According to CTV News: The company obtained the images through an information request from the Canadian Department of National Defense.

The object, which was first tracked flying over Alaska eight days ago, was shot down by a US F-22 fighter jet from the sky on February 11, 2023.

US and Canadian authorities began tracking the UFO again after it entered Canadian airspace, and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau gave the order to shoot it down just after 4:50 p.m.

American pilots managed to shoot it down with an AIM 9x missile.

The aerial object, previously described as a “small metal balloon carrying a tethered cargo”, was spotted among three other cases in which North America has encountered unidentified objects in the sky.

Between February 10 and 12, three objects were spotted drifting over North America before crashing into Alaska, the Yukon, and Lake Huron.

All of these were smaller than the Chinese spy balloon that is believed to have flown across the United States from Alaska before being shot down over South Carolina on February 4, 2023.

China used U.S. technology in spy balloons that spied on U.S. military bases earlier this year, a federal investigation into the balloon debris found.

The Canadian government was ready to release photos of a UFO in the Yukon Territory, declassifying them and approving them for public release, but then postponing their release.

“Attached are images that have been approved for release. We are working to obtain better images and send them to you,” an email dated Feb. 15, 2023, to Canadian military leaders said, according to the media.

The Defense Ministry is going ahead with releasing the images amid doubts from the deputy secretary of public affairs about whether they should be shown to the public.

“If the images are made public, [Canadian Armed Forces] “Social media accounts,” officials wrote, “given the current public environment and statements that the objects are harmless, publishing the images, regardless of any text that accompanies the posts, is likely to raise further questions or confusion.”

Canadian authorities were then advised to “pending U.S. negotiations,” and the photos remained hidden for more than a year and a half.

President Joe Biden confirmed that the three objects had been shot down but said there was “no indication they were linked to the Chinese spy balloon program or that they were spy aircraft of any other country.”

A search was conducted for the remains of all three objects, but the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and US police called off the search after a few days.

Bad weather and the low chances of finding the wreckage were cited as reasons for not continuing the search.
