Caitlin Clark's first WNBA season is over.
The Indiana Fever fell to the Connecticut Sun 87-81 on Wednesday night in a thrilling Game 2 of the first round of the WNBA playoffs.
Clark finished with a game-high 25 points on 10-of-23 shooting to go along with nine assists and six rebounds.
The loss capped a record-breaking and newsworthy rookie season for Clark, who helped attract new fans to the WNBA.
The Fever rallied from an 11-point deficit to take the lead early in the fourth quarter, but Connecticut's DeWanna Bonner, who matched Clark's lead, made consecutive key shots to put the Suns back in the lead late in the game.

A layup by Bonner tied the game at 75-75 with 2:24 left in the game and Indiana's Aliyah Boston gave the Fever a two-point lead, but a 3-pointer by Bonner with 1:50 left put the Sun ahead 78-77.
Marina Mabry extended the lead to four points, and Bonner made two free throws with 23 seconds left in the game to all but seal the series-clinching victory for the Sun.
