Adams’ top campaign fundraiser Brianna Suggs, close aide Winnie Greco expected to be named in bombshell indictment

Two top aides to Mayor Eric Adams are also expected to be named in the historic indictment, scheduled to be unsealed Thursday morning, according to information obtained by The Washington Post.

The indictment is also expected to name Brianna Suggs, who was a key fundraiser for Adams' 2021 mayoral campaign, and Winnie Greco, who currently serves as Adams' director of Asian affairs.

It is unclear whether Suggs and Greco will be charged or if their names will simply be made public.

At least three other people are expected to be indicted, but The Washington Post could not immediately confirm their identities.

The search of Suggs' home in November 2023 marked the first public disclosure of a federal investigation into Adams' campaign.

Suggs, a Brooklyn College graduate, had close ties to Mayor Adams' inner circle and was touted as a key campaign adviser and fundraiser for Adams' mayoral campaign.

She was hired as an intern by the Brooklyn Borough Council in 2017, when Adams was Borough President and Ingrid Lewis-Martin was Deputy Borough President.

She was promoted to special liaison the following year and spent the next three years working on women's health. According to her LinkedIn.

His campaign spent a total of $18.5 million, according to election records.

Records show she made more than $150,000 for the 2021 mayoral race and Adams' 2025 reelection campaign.

Brianna Suggs, a key fundraiser for Adams' 2021 mayoral campaign, is expected to be named in the indictment.

Suggs was issued a subpoena to testify before a federal grand jury after the FBI searched his Crown Heights home and he was seen leaving the property with a box.

Adams was in Washington, DC at the time of the attack, but rushed back to New York after hearing the news.

At the time, Trump said he would “fully cooperate” with any investigation into his campaign, a stance he has maintained throughout the expanding federal investigation into his administration.

But the investigation didn't end with Suggs: Just four months later, the FBI searched the home of Hizzoner's top aide, Greco.

She was already under investigation by the city's Bureau of Investigation for allegations that she improperly used her city government position to obtain benefits.

She allegedly promised campaign volunteers a job in Adams' administration if they tackled a kitchen renovation in early 2022.

She also allegedly encouraged a prominent Chinese business executive to donate $10,000 to attend a Chinese-oriented event at Gracie Mansion, where the mayor lives.

Adams and Greco have a history dating back to Adams' time as Brooklyn borough president, when Greco worked as a volunteer fundraiser and liaison with the Chinese community.

Neither Greco nor Suggs, nor their lawyers, could be reached for comment.

Sources said Adams is expected to turn himself in to authorities next week.

“I always knew that standing up for the people of New York would make me a target — and I became one,” Adams said in a statement to The Washington Post.

“I call for immediate justice so the people of New York can hear the truth. The people of New York know my story, they know where I come from, and I have been fighting injustice my whole life,” he added.

“That fight continues as Mayor. … When the federal government's flawed immigration policies strained our shelter system and no relief was forthcoming, I put the people of New York above party and politics.”

A representative for the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of New York, which is prosecuting the case, declined to comment.
