A man and a woman are currently being sought after a shooting in Kentucky where a father was shot 15 times at close range.
Authorities are looking for Courtney Alford, 30, Terry Moses, 26, and Tiance Combs, 30, related to an incident on May 9 outside a Circle K gas station in Newport.
Combs faces an attempted murder charge, while Moses and Alford are both charged as accessories to the attempted murder.
The victim, identified as Trey Isles, was shot to death early in the morning after his girlfriend stepped into the gas station to grab some snacks during a night out.
According to reports, a dispute arose when Trey was called to his vehicle after giving flowers to a woman on Mother’s Day.
Afterward, Trey left for a bar, but the two suspects in the car approached and opened fire.
His father described the shooting as a ‘senseless’ act of violence, which left Trey gravely injured. A GoFundMe campaign has been set up to assist with medical expenses.
“Trey is a son, a father, a loving man, but he didn’t deserve this,” his father reflected.
Trey sustained multiple gunshot wounds, with five to one ankle and others to his arm and neck, as detailed by his aunt.
After learning of the severity of his injuries, his aunt expressed her shock, fearing for his life.
His father credited Trey’s girlfriend for being present and potentially saving his life.
“We are incredibly thankful for her, the medical team, and everyone who offered support during this challenging time,” he noted.
The motive behind the shooting remains unclear; however, Trey’s uncle stated that the shooter had malicious intent.
He mentioned, “It’s perplexing. What we do know is the shooter stood over him and fired 15 times.” He described Trey’s survival as miraculous and praised his girlfriend as a “hero.” According to him, if she hadn’t been there, Trey might have died from his wounds.
