Two teen boys shot outside NYC school

Two boys were shot near a Brooklyn school in broad daylight on Wednesday, police said, just a day after a 15-year-old student was bombed outside a high school less than a mile away.

Authorities said two 17-year-old boys were shot during a shootout around 3:15 p.m. near J Avenue and 82nd Street, just steps from Isaac Bildersee Middle School in Canarsie.

Police said one of the boys was shot multiple times in the leg and torso, and the other was hit by a blast wound in the leg.

Both men were in stable condition after the shooting, according to the New York Police Department.

Police said the cause of the bloodshed was unclear.

The shooting is the latest in a series of recent incidents of youth violence near New York schools.

Police said a teenage boy was shot in the right leg Tuesday in front of South Shore High School on Flatlands Avenue in Canarsie.

Sources said another teen shot at him before the victim ran away and collapsed nearby.

A 17-year-old boy was also shot in the leg outside a Staten Island high school last week and is in stable condition.
