Fox News Is the ‘Mainstream Media’

Billionaire investor Mark Cuban said Thursday on CNBC's “Squawk Box” that Fox News is mainstream media while discussing its coverage of the Harris-Waltz campaign.

“Did you see what Elon said? I don't know how you feel about Elon,” host Joe Curnen said.

“I like Elon,” Cuban said.

Curnen said, “I like Elon too. Her approval rating was at 28% and, as you say, it went up to like 50%. I would argue that filling in the blanks doesn't explain that move. The media coverage was very positive and it was like, Mark, we don't have to worry about electing this guy who's obviously not going to last another four years, it's not Donald Trump. So people who needed a candidate and the left would have accepted anyone at that point. And ABC had 100% positive coverage of her and 92% negative coverage of Trump. So Elon, I would say, is how the media coverage changed.”

“First of all, what are the most-watched news channels? Who is watching, consuming and listening to the most podcasts?” Cuban asked.

Curnen said, “Fox?”

“So it's not that close. The number one shows are all Fox and the number one podcasts are right-leaning,” Cuban said.

“The mainstream media is not what you think it is. The mainstream media is very right-leaning,” he added.

“That might be why it was a tie,” Curnen said.
