Unlike Whitmer, many have a much more passionate interest in Swift and Mahomes' friendship.
Mahomes, who is the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and a teammate of Swift's boyfriend Travis Kelce, has shown support for Trump on social media over the past month and a half.
On Aug. 13, she liked an Instagram post from President Trump's account outlining his 2024 policy platform, prompting a flurry of backlash on social media. The firestorm was fueled by a handful of Taylor Swift fan pages on social media drawing attention to the likes of Mahomes.

Mahomes then posted a series of cryptic Instagram Stories.
“Honestly, to be hated as an adult, you have to have some deep-seated issues from childhood that you won't fix,” she wrote. “If your brain is fully developed, there's no reason to hate seeing others do well.”
Later that month, she posted another cryptic message on social media that may have referenced the recent controversy.

“Contrary to the tone of the world today…you can disagree with someone and still love them. You can have different opinions and still be kind,” she wrote on August 26. I wrote it. “Read it again!”
She then added some comments to her recent Instagram post, including: support for trump. One of her favorite comments was “TRUMP-VANCE 2024.”
Meanwhile, Swift endorsed Harris after the Sept. 10 debate between the presidential candidates.
After announcing his support, Trump appeared on “Fox & Friends” and said he “much prefers Mrs. Mahomes” to Swift.

President Trump even posted, “I hate Taylor Swift!” In true social.
Swift and Brittany Mahomes developed a highly publicized friendship during last year's NFL season, when Kelce and Swift began dating. Swift showed up to multiple Chiefs games to cheer on Kelce, often sitting in the same suite as Mahomes, who was rooting for her husband.
That hasn't happened so far this year.
In the two Chiefs games he attended (week 1 against the Baltimore Ravens and week 2 against the Cincinnati Bengals, both at Arrowhead Stadium), Swift did not sit in the same suite as Mahomes.
A few days after the Ravens game, the two women hugged while sitting in a suite with Kelce and Patrick Mahomes during a trip to the U.S. Open finals in New York City. But that was before Swift endorsed Harris and Trump made comments about the two women.
