With the White House race wrapping up with less than six weeks until Election Day, former President Trump is holding a campaign rally in the key battleground state of Wisconsin on Saturday.
The event in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin, about two hours from Madison, was scheduled to be held outdoors but was reportedly moved indoors due to Secret Service staffing concerns. The decision came after the former president faced two assassination attempts. The first time was at a golf course in Florida earlier this month, and the second time in July when a bullet grazed his ear at a rally in Pennsylvania.
Recent polls show the race between Mr. Trump and Vice President Harris in the Badger State is close. A new New York Times/Siena poll on Saturday showed Harris with a two-point lead and 49% support to the former president's 47%. However, that lead was within the margin of error.
The Hill/Decision Desk's polling index shows similar results in key battleground states, with Harris leading by 49.8% to Trump's 47.8%.
His remarks are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
