Presidents Cup 2024: 5 rare Team USA moments that will make you laugh out loud

When it comes to Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup post-victory parties, it's hard to beat Team USA.

Remember when the Americans defeated the Europeans at Whistling Straits in 2021? Those guys partied hard afterward.

When Team USA defeated the International 18.5 to 11.5, no one expected them to get the party started right away. It started right away after Keegan Bradley scored the victory-clinching point.

Most of the time, people see players as stoic, normal guys who don't care about anything. However, when it comes to team events, they flex their muscles and show their true personality, especially when they win.

Fans enjoy precious moments from team events. It makes you feel closer to professional athletes. It's funny when guys get drunk and talk to the media.

The entire team was in unusually good form on Sunday, when they achieved a big win.

Here are the four funniest moments after Team USA won the Presidents Cup on Sunday.

4. Max Homa's Thirsty Video Bomb

Max Homa played in Team USA's final game of the day. He beat Mackenzie Hughes 2&1 to give the Americans their 18th point.

Golf Channel turned off the cameras on captain Jim Furyk during the trophy presentation. When they did, Homa was seen by the world chugging beer behind him.

Fans were into it because it was relatable.

Golf Channel tagged Homa in the post and captioned it with an American flag emoji.

Of course, Twitter/X King explained himself, commenting, “I was the last guy on the course today and had to make up for lost time.”

The original post received more than 1.7 million views and nearly 5,000 likes within 24 hours.

3. Captain Jim Furyk, Player, Vice Captain Troll

Jim Furyk doesn't seem like the type of person to drop an F-bomb unless he has to.

But when Golfweek writer Adam Shupack asked him what he thought about American fans rooting for internationals, he opted to drop one before the Cup. Increase the competitiveness of the Presidents Cup.

When Schupack grabbed the microphone for Sunday's victory press conference, Furyk wasn't the only one to take advantage of it.

“Jim, you wouldn't say it now,” Schauffele said with a laugh.

Furyk explained that he was never angry with Schupack, and the two burst into laughter.

Even though Furyk and Schupack were safe after the article was published, his co-captains still took the opportunity to criticize the reporter.

“After the first press, when we came in, we paired up and I walked out, and I actually gave you a little fist bump, but two of my assistants I told you to go to F yourself. That was my favorite,” Furyk recalled.

If this exchange doesn't tell fans how serious Team USA is about the Presidents Cup, I'm not sure it conveys anything else. Nevertheless, the press conference produced some hilarious moments that got everyone laughing.

2. “Take off the tarpaulin” Kevin Kisner keeps his promise to Max Homa

Max Homa and Kevin Kisner made a bet on social media after two Solheim Cup caddies took off their shirts when Team USA's Allison Lee holed out of the fairway.

Coach Kisner told the 33-year-old that if he did the same thing in the Presidents Cup, he would take his shirt off. Homa holed out for eagle on Sunday's first hole and did just that.

Afterwards, the six-time PGA Tour winner explained that he could see Kisner going in the opposite direction.

“I turned around and he was running down the ninth fairway trying to get away from me,” Homa said. “I don't blame him.”

Kisner kept his promise, and cameras witnessed the whole thing.

The excitement on their faces was priceless. Homa couldn't stop smiling and patted Kisner's stomach.

It was interesting to watch.

Earlier this week, Homa explained that he had set some goals for himself.

“There were three checkmarks,” he said. “One, I wanted to win the Presidents Cup with these boys. Two, I wanted to have a great time. And three, I got to take my shirt off for Kiss. I went with 3.

Homa accomplished what he set out to do and gave golf fans something entertaining to watch while doing so.

1. Kevin Kisner is Team USA's beer man

At this point, it seems safe to call Kevin Kisner a national treasure. He is the life of the party.

reporter Video posted He walks into the media room with a red cooler full of beer.

However, the moment gets better.

Not only did he bring beer, he handed out beers to the players during the press conference.

Kisner took his co-captain role seriously and did not disappoint.

They were able to continue the topic and end the press conference on a lighthearted note.

It's so funny to see them as relaxed as they are in the media. They worked hard to win the International and should enjoy their victory for as long as possible.

Team USA capped off the Presidents Cup week with a win in a hilarious and rare moment that only golf fans will understand.
