It must be slow on CTESPN.
Because Antonio Brown has been dipping into his nasty social media repertoire to say anything, anything, that might get attention.
In a flurry of football-related tweets over the weekend, the disgraced former receiver targeted Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift.
“Travis Kelce needs a black man. That brother washed,” Brown wrote to his 2.1 million followers on X on Sunday.
The tweet was posted near the end of a game in which Kelce and the Chiefs defeated the Chargers 17-10, in which the star tight end had seven catches for 89 yards.
This strong performance comes after Kelce dealt with a series of criticisms over his declining numbers this season. In his first three games with the Chiefs, he had just eight catches for 69 yards.
Kelce, his teammates and coaches all said this was due to the defense concentrating on him and not a drop in performance from the 34-year-old.
“I've made a lot of catches in this league, man, I don't care about catches or yards, and all of that, I have the most fun when I can throw the ball the way I want it. I mean. , who's not? Kelce told her brother Jason on the New Heights podcast last week.
“It has to do with execution and just making sure we’re doing everything we can to win football games and that’s always the goal.”
Swift has been absent from the Chiefs' past two games, leading to unsubstantiated speculation that the couple is having trouble.
However, Page Six reported on Monday that Swift's absence was due to preparations for her Elas tour, which resumes on October 18th, as well as security concerns after she was forced to cancel a show in Austria following a terrorist attack plot by ISIS. It was reported that there are concerns.
The two-time Super Bowl champions are 4-0 and will face the Saints on Monday Night Football in Week 5.
For Brown, this is just another sad step toward becoming even more of a laughing stock in his post-NFL life.
Despite earning more than $80 million during his NFL career, the former Steelers star has dealt with numerous legal troubles and filed for bankruptcy in June.
