At least eight people were killed and at least seven others injured in a shooting in the Israeli city of Jaffa, near Tel Aviv, local officials told Fox News.
The incident, believed to be a terrorist attack, occurred on Tuesday outside a new light rail station on Jerusalem Street.
Authorities said at least two people who fired shots into the crowd were neutralized.

Immediately after the shooting, Israel faced a further attack by Iran, which fired about 100 ballistic missiles. Many were intercepted by Israeli missile defense systems, but some landed on the ground.

Iran had threatened to fire missiles at Israel. Iran's Revolutionary Guards issued a statement saying it was a response to the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah.

The Israel Defense Forces issued a warning to Israelis, telling them that Iranian attacks continue and that people should remain in protected areas until further notice.
