Bills’ Von Miller suspended four games for violating by NFL

Bills linebacker Von Miller was suspended for four games on Tuesday for violating the NFL's Personal Conduct Guidelines.

The NFL did not provide a specific reason for the suspension, but it is believed to be related to domestic violence allegations against his girlfriend in November of last year. According to ESPN.

Miller, 35, is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, and Dallas police have issued a warrant for his arrest on a charge of third-degree felony assault of a pregnant woman.

Miller turned himself in to authorities on November 30, 2023, and was released on $5,000 bail.

The Bills linebacker denied the allegations and issued a statement via text: Dallas news station WFAA Around the time of the incident, the alleged victim said she and Miller were “okay” and that the incident was a “big misunderstanding.”

“No one assaulted anyone,” she told the news station. “This is insane. And sad.”

A police affidavit painted a different picture, as authorities say Miller put his hands on the woman's neck, pulled her hair and tried to push her away.

Police ultimately resolved the case without charging Miller, but Miller expressed relief when speaking to reporters at training camp.

“I'm able to move forward and just focus on football,” Miller said. According to the Democrat & Chronicle. “Sometimes life happens, but right now my life is all about football and my kids and being the best teammate and best football player I can be. I'm here with the Buffalo Bills. I'm happy to be in the moment, living my life and doing what I normally do.”

Miller will be eligible to return after Week 8, when the Bills host the Seahawks.

He will miss games against the Texans, Jets, Titans and Seahawks.
