Talk about baaa-d to the bone.
A briefly held captive sheep in Michigan was stopped by authorities before ramming a state trooper in an attempt to extend its short-lived independence.
Michigan State Police shared video of the encounter online. X account.
“Officers at MSP Gaylord Post were called to a report of a sheep on the loose,” the MSP post said.
“The sheep tested its strength and rammed into the soldier. The sheep lost.”
The responding officer got out of his patrol car and stood right next to the sheep to grab it. Mutton approached him warily and appeared to size him up before charging towards the officer's legs.

In fact, the force pushed the officer back a little before he grabbed the sheep by the scruff of the neck. Officers led the sheep out of the frame and into the back of the car, where the disgruntled sheep surrendered.
Sheep, escape artists, are masters of getting exactly where they shouldn't be. In August, a British homeowner discovered four sheep he didn't own sitting on his roof.
As sheep are prey animals, they rarely travel alone and rely on herds for survival. The one sheep who thinks he can defeat the troopers serves as an uncharacteristically bold outlier.
