The Trump campaign aired an ad over the weekend criticizing Harris' past support for government-funded transgender surgeries for prison inmates and immigrants in detention centers.

The narrator of campaign advertisement “Kamala supports taxpayer-funded gender reassignment of prisoners,” it began.

“Surgery for prisoners. Surgery is available to all transgender inmates in prison,” Harris said in the ad. The ad shows Harris making these comments during an interview with the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE).

The New York Post reported Her comments in the NCTE interview came during the 2020 campaign period, when the vice president was doubling down on his position on support for transgender prisoners.

The ad's narrator says, “It's hard to believe, but it's true. Even the liberal media was shocked that Kamala was supporting the sex change of prisoners and illegal aliens with taxpayer funds.”

“Kamala is for them. President Trump is for you,” the ad's narrator says.
