Radio host Charlamagne Tha God on Monday praised former Republican presidential candidate Trump's political ad that highlighted Vice President Kamala Harris' support for taxpayer-funded surgeries for trans prisoners and illegal immigrants.

The Trump campaign aired an ad over the weekend criticizing Harris' past support for government-funded transgender surgeries for prison inmates and immigrants in detention centers.
The narrator of campaign advertisement “Kamala supports taxpayer-funded gender reassignment of prisoners,” it began.
“Surgery for prisoners. Surgery is available to all transgender inmates in prison,” Harris said in the ad. The ad shows Harris making these comments during an interview with the National Center for Transgender Equality (NCTE).
The New York Post reported Her comments in the NCTE interview came during the 2020 campaign period, when the vice president was doubling down on his position on support for transgender prisoners.
The ad's narrator says, “It's hard to believe, but it's true. Even the liberal media was shocked that Kamala was supporting the sex change of prisoners and illegal aliens with taxpayer funds.”
“Kamala is for them. President Trump is for you,” the ad's narrator says.
The ad ended with CNBC's headline, “Trump: Lower taxes, raise workers' pay.”

“That ad was impactful” and “effective,” Charlamagne Tha God said in response to the Trump campaign's attack ad.

The vice president's position recently resurfaced when CNN reported on responses to a survey of presidential candidates.
In response to questions from the ACLU, he said, “As president, I have executive powers to ensure that transgender and non-binary people who depend on the country for health care, including those in prison and serving time, receive treatment.'' In response to the question “Do you intend to exercise the immigration detention –Will I be able to receive comprehensive treatment related to gender reassignment, including all necessary surgical care?'' Harris answered in the affirmative.

“I support policies that ensure federal prisoners and detainees receive the medical care they need to transition, including surgical treatment, while incarcerated or detained. “There is a need for this, and I intend to direct all federal agencies responsible for the provision of essential health care to 'provide transitional care,'” she wrote in the questionnaire.
Harris' campaign has said in the past that the ACLU survey was “not something she proposed or implemented.”
Many of Harris' past positions have been in the spotlight since she took the top job after President Biden withdrew from the presidential race.
