Apparently, Laci Rice's mother worked hard to heal her son's injuries on Sunday.
Hours after the Kansas City Chiefs receiver injured his knee, his mother was apparently caught on camera stealing packages from a neighbor.
Shortly after Kansas City's 17-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, Marcia Carney was seen wearing a Chiefs jersey with a young person with the last name “Mama Rice.”
The incident occurred at 6:39 p.m. Central Time.TMZ Sports pointed out.
The video initially showed Carney walking from left to right, staring at the ground in front of the door. The scene then cuts to Carney walking in the opposite direction and stopping in front of a door.
The moment Carney stopped walking, a sound was heard off camera.
Carney can then be seen taking a few more steps before stopping again and looking back at the camera before picking up her belongings.
North Richland Hills Police confirmed to FOX News Digital that they “received a report of a theft” at the complex and that “the caller advised that a package had been taken from the porch.”
No arrests have been made and police have not released the names of those involved.
According to TMZ Sports, the package included a Chapel Lawn record purchased from Urban Outfitters. The apartment owners reportedly tried to resolve the issue with Kearney and the complex, but were unsuccessful.
Rice left Sunday's game after being dragged off the field, but it was Patrick Mahomes who appeared to land the blow.
Mahomes threw an interception to Chargers cornerback Christian Fulton that hit his own receiver as Mahomes attempted to make a tackle.
Initially, it was feared that Rice may have torn his anterior cruciate ligament, but the official diagnosis is not yet known.
Coming into the Week 4 game, Rice had 24 catches on 29 targets for 288 yards and two touchdowns.
The receiver ran into trouble during the offseason.
Rice, who had just won the first Super Bowl ring of his career, was arrested in Dallas for allegedly causing a car crash and getting into an incident with a photographer.
