Yes, according to local reports from a small Batcave in North Carolina that was completely destroyed by the storm, FEMA is calling the shots into town because its employees are “not allowed” to drive around signs announcing road closures. I was refused entry.
Residents said the road was drivable but was only “officially” closed.
That seems eminently right for the Harris-Biden administration.
While Kamala's glitzy photo ops take place, federal authorities have fallen far short when it comes to actually helping where it's needed most.
Add to that reports that authorities have called off civilian rescue efforts, such as that carried out by heroic local helicopter pilot Jordan Seydom.
And let's not forget the traditional left-handed ritual of reminding the aristocrats and peasants of the Great Unwashed Nation who are the real victims here: the FEMA workers (at least (according to agency administrator Deanne Criswell).
Look, Vice President Harris is clearly only interested in generating positive soundbites in the media, not actually making sure the disaster response is effective.
Alejandro Mayorkas, who also heads FEMA as Secretary of Homeland Security, is clearly happy to serve as Veep's unofficial campaign aide.
And what about Joe?
Thanks to Joe Biden this month, let's just say that the Joe Biden we saw in the debate with Trump looks like a paragon of energy and ability.
To make matters worse, the traditional media actively interfered with Harris regarding this debacle, giving a subdued and respectful response.
Can you imagine the shrieks of anger if a Republican held the White House?
Dogmatic journalism is bad enough, like covering up Tim Walz's weird lies.
