6-Year-Old Passes After Stepfather Beats Him, Brother, Mother With Baseball Bat

A 6-year-old child was beaten with a baseball bat by his stepfather and removed from life support.

Six-year-old Jaysan Escobar was declared brain dead and removed from life support after being attacked by his stepfather Abdulrahim Sulaiman, younger brother and mother on September 23.rd.

The mother called 9-1-1 and said Sulaiman was hitting her with a baseball bat, according to the report.

When police arrived, they found Jaysan, who had a hole in his head, held down close to his eyes and his mother bleeding.

Police found Sulaiman “talking to himself” with blood on his hands and arms and took him into custody.

The 6-year-old boy was given CPR, but police said they could see brain material coming out of the top of his head.

Jaysan was airlifted to hospital along with his mother and four-year-old brother, where he is currently in stable condition.

Sulaiman's charges have been upgraded to include murder with special circumstances, the Bridgeport Police Department said in a statement Wednesday.

He was initially charged with three counts of attempted murder, three counts of first-degree assault, risk of injury to a minor and possession of a firearm after police found a .22-caliber handgun wrapped in a blanket. Ta. kitchen, connecticut post Reported.

The mother told investigators that Sulaiman had been smoking “angel dust” in the house before the attack, according to the police report.

September 10ththafter months of harassment and threats, a judge signed a protective order forbidding Sulaiman from speaking to the woman or her children for a year.

A judge set his bail at $10 million and ordered him to wear an ankle bracelet.
