A robbery suspect was shot and killed by a man carrying a concealed carry permit at a Walgreens in Calumet City, Chicago, early Sunday morning.
CBS News reported The incident occurred just after 2 a.m.
After being shot, the robbery suspect fled the scene in a car, but when police found the car, he was inside with a wound to his chest.
He was taken to a hospital, where he died.
of chicago tribune noticed The robbery suspect, a 42-year-old man, was with a 48-year-old woman, and both allegedly “attempted to leave the Walgreens separately without paying for the items.”
A Walgreens employee was able to retrieve the product from the woman, but when the employee approached, the man pulled out a handgun, police said. At that moment, “the clerk with a concealed carry permit shot the man in the chest.”
