Watch live: Walz holds rally in battleground Nevada

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz (Democratic), Harris' running mate, will hold a campaign event in the battleground state of Nevada on Tuesday night.

The rally came just a day after Harris was asked about her policy agenda and economic plans in an interview that aired on CBS News' “60 Minutes.” The interview was part of the campaign's media blitz, which drew widespread criticism from those around the Democratic candidate, particularly former President Trump and his running mate, Sen. J.D. Vance (R-Ohio), for not responding to a more demanding interview. It is what I received.

The Minnesota governor joined Harris in his first high-stakes interview with CNN earlier this year.

Walz's trip to the swing state is being seen as making up for an event he canceled last month due to wildfires in the area.

Ms. Harris maintains a narrow lead over her Republican opponent in the Silver State, with 49% polling compared to 47.2% for Mr. Trump, according to The Hill/Decision Desk Headquarters polling index. It is gaining support.

Walz's remarks from Reno, Nevada, are scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. EDT.
