You are considered the king of all media, and you have Vice President Kamala Harris in the studio.
What is your first question? There are so many options!
“I'm going to wake up with the first lady on November 6th,” the governor said, before Kimmel calmly yelled, “Clean up Aisle 4!”
Give yourself a gold star when you say, “Do you want to take a nap?”
That was literally Howard Stern's first question when Veep's softball interview tour stopped at his studio. Never mind that Harris can't even land a simple interview and is supplying the Trump campaign with more commercial material than any campaign could hope for.
Please note that Mr. Stern followed up his flattering interview with President Joe Biden a few months ago with another tirade a few weeks before Election Day.
Howard, it's time to hand over the crown…
waltz-like movement
Harris' ace vice president nomination isn't all that great.
Gov. Tim Walz weathered a barrage of softball questions from Jimmy Kimmel this week, with the host essentially waving his flannel shirt in the air while reminding Walz that he's just a regular guy.
And Waltz pulled Waltz.
“I'm going to wake up with the first lady on November 6th,” the governor said, before Kimmel quietly yelled, “Clean up Aisle 4!”
The final “boss”
Amazon Freevee says it is “not disappointed” to end “Who's the Boss?” Reunion plans.
The streamer gave an update on the ABC sitcom starring Tony Danza and a young Alyssa Milano. The actress is best known these days as a bona fide far-left activist and host of the podcast “Sorry Not Sorry.''
Perhaps the fact that she has become a far-left radical, alienating large swaths of the country, factored into this decision…
Feig misses “Jackpot”
If Judd Apatow once reigned as Hollywood's comedy king, Paul Feig was its crown prince.
Feig co-produced “Freaks and Geeks'' with Apatow and went on to direct “Spy,'' “Bridesmaids,'' and “The Heat.'' He also directed episodes of “The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” and “30 Rock.”
Not too shabby.
And in 2016, they foisted the “Lady Ghostbusters” debacle on an unsuspecting public.
Did Feig leave a funny bone behind? Has anyone seen it?
After that fiasco, he expanded his genre focus (“A Simple Favor,” “The School for Good and Evil”) and returned to comedy with this year’s “Jackpot!”
The Prime Video original might be the worst comedy of the year. For years to be exact.
So the news that he's directing.”housekeeper” is a thriller starring Sidney Sweeney that will make you breathe a sigh of relief. There's nothing funny about Feig's comedy arc…
From Warner Bros. to Phillips: The Joker Is on You
Todd Phillips, the Warner Bros. bus will be backing you up.
Phillips' “Joker” brought in more than $1 billion for the studio in 2019. This gave Phillips all the creative freedom he needed to create a sequel to the musical.
Yes, Joker: Folie à Deux is a musical about a murderous mental patient and his new friend (Lady Gaga).
Unsurprisingly, the film has caused a stir in the United States. now, According to World of ReelStudio Suits uses trade magazines to blame Phillips for its failures.
There's nothing wrong in and of itself, but it feels wrong to use studio leaks to denigrate artists who ran for the fences and missed out. But oh, that's perfect for kind and forgiving Hollywood…
'SNL' dunks on Democrats
Does 'Saturday Night Live' regret switching to MSNBC? The show's bipartisan approach to political satire disappeared during the Obama administration. Since then, things have only gotten worse.
The show largely ignored President Joe Biden's apparent mental decline and Vice President Kamala Harris' word salad recipe.
But the first two “SNL” episodes of the new 50th season suggest the show may be trying to recreate its former self.
Over the weekend, Jim Gaffigan played Gov. Tim Walz as, well, a bigot. Off-screen, Gaffigan, a fierce anti-Trumper, recited Walz's line from the recent vice presidential debate about being friends with the school shooter.
Kamala Harris, played by Maya Rudolph, is shown drowning her sorrows in wine, but this may be due to people who think she's a cool wine mom, or who think her incoherence is related to the bottle. It could be a nod to either of those who are.
This is all the more remarkable since Election Day is just weeks away and “SNL” has been a reliable part of the Democratic Party's supporting structure for more than a decade.
Even a far-left sketch show might not be able to resist a totally incompetent Harris Waltz ticket.
