Authorities announced this week that he was arrested on suspicion of killing three separate people over several days before labeling him a serial killer.
Niagara Regional Police announced Friday that Sabrina Coldahl, 30, was arrested at a hotel in Burlington, Ont., in connection with the murders of a woman and two men in and around the Toronto area.
“I think by definition she is a serial killer,” Niagara Regional Police Chief Bill Fordy said at a news conference. “I think by definition that's a fair comment because there's more than one violation.”

Calder's alleged serial murders began on October 1, when Toronto authorities responded and found a woman in her 60s dead inside a home. The next day, first responders were called to a disturbance at John Allan Park in Niagara Falls.
When they arrived, they found a man with serious injuries.
“Despite medical intervention by Niagara Emergency Medical Services and the Niagara Falls Fire Department, 47-year-old Lance Cunningham was pronounced dead at the scene,” Niagara Regional Police said in a statement.

The third murder occurred on October 3rd. A man was found stabbed in a parking lot in the Toronto suburb of Hamilton. The victim, identified as retired teacher Mario Bilic, 77, was taken to hospital where he later died.
“Investigators were able to link the Hamilton murder to a recent murder at John Allen Park in Niagara Falls and determined the suspect matched the description from both incidents,” police said in a statement. “Further links have been made to an active homicide investigation that has been ongoing since October 1 in Toronto.”

Investigators said Cunningham and Bilic were targeted randomly, but the Toronto victims were known to the suspects. Authorities later identified the Toronto murder victim, but have not released his name.
Police said Calder is charged with first-degree murder in the Hamilton killing and second-degree murder in the Toronto and Niagara killings.
