Manager-needy Marlins eyeing Guardians’ Craig Albernaz

Guardians bench coach Craig Albanaz is considered a potential candidate to manage the Marlins. He has ties to general manager Peter Bendix, a former Rays minor league coach and current Marlins assistant GM Gabe Kapler's bullpen and catching coach in San Francisco.

Former Angels manager Phil Nevin and Cardinals bench coach Daniel Descalso are among the White Sox' long list of managerial targets.

One of the big targets is Rangers bench coach Will Venable. He is seen as a potential successor to Texas, which turned down the Mets.

The Giants are looking for a GM. One name that makes sense is Thad Levine, a well-regarded executive who left the Twins.
