In a town hall with Univision on Thursday, Vice President Kamala Harris, a 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, said many people have “rightly made the decision not to believe in abortion.” And she's not trying to change their minds, arguing that “the government shouldn't be making this decision.” And if she is elected president, she “will proudly re-sign our nation's protections.” Roe vs. Wadebasically just saying it's an individual's decision and not a government's decision. Essentially, that's what's behind my position. ”
Mr Harris said: “Let me tell you, a lot of people watching here have made the decision, understandably, not to believe in abortion. It's not changing their mind about it. It's just saying the government shouldn't make this decision.”
She then added: “So as President of the United States, and if I am elected the first female president of the United States, I will proudly re-sign America's protections.” Roe vs. Wadebasically just saying it's an individual's decision and not a government's decision. Essentially, that's what's behind my position. ”
