The left continues to campaign for the right of paranoid men to participate in women's sports; Some strong female athletes I'm fighting against it.
Riley Gaines is one of them.
“A former University of Kentucky swimmer and superstar conservative, outspoken Christian woman, she is the Rosa Parks of this era,” Fearless' Jason Whitlock said on Tonight's Blaze News. told Jill Savage and Matthew Peterson.
Whitlock believes brave women like Gaines helped inspire boycotts like the one happening with the San Jose State women's volleyball team, which chose a man as its Most Valuable Player.
“There were four universities that refused to play this San Jose State team, and I think Riley Gaines, who is an outspoken leader, was the spark for this boycott,” Whitlock said. “I also believe that this boycott is coming,” he said. Caitlin Clark's “popularity” also inspired young women to take a stand.
“She didn't take a strong position, but to see a woman so dominant in sports become the biggest star in American sports is an inspiration to women and perhaps even young women. “I think it helped me realize the importance of protecting my space,'' he explains.
Whitlock also credits Sage Steele and Samantha Ponder for giving young women the strength to fight back.
“Two women who had huge careers at ESPN stood out there and basically said, 'I think it's important to protect women in sports contracts.' They ended up losing their jobs at ESPN. “It happened,” he explains.
“I compare Riley Gaines to Rosa Parks, Sage Steele and Samantha Ponder to John Carlos and Tommie Smith who raised their fists at the Olympics, and Caitlin Clark to Jackie Robinson.”
“This is just a common sense issue and I think the scales will fall from people's eyes and they will see what the other side represents: complete chaos and insanity,” he added.
