Police say a video has surfaced showing three women violently attacking and robbing someone on the streets of Philadelphia.
The Central Criminal Division of the Philadelphia Police Department is reaching out to the public for assistance in identifying the attackers. They’ve shared both video footage and images of the suspects.
While the exact number of victims hasn’t been confirmed, reports indicate there were at least two individuals involved.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m. on April 18th. Authorities issued a statement regarding the attack earlier this month.
According to police reports, the assaults occurred in the 1300 block of Chestnut Street. Footage shows one assault happening on the sidewalk and another next to a parked vehicle. The victim endured multiple kicks and punches while on the ground.
During the attack, the assailants stole the victim’s bag, which led to the misuse of their credit card later on.
Although the area was busy with pedestrians, only one person seemed to attempt to intervene.
The victims were reported to have sustained serious facial and head injuries and had to be hospitalized.
Descriptions of the suspects provided by the police are as follows:
- Suspect #1: Black female, aged 25-30, between 5’5″ and 5’7″ tall, approximately 150 pounds with a medium build.
- Suspect #2: Black female, aged 25-30, between 5’2″ and 5’4″ tall, around 130 pounds, medium build, with a tattoo on her right chest.
- Suspect #3: Black female, aged 25-30, 5’5″ tall, weighing about 175 pounds with a stocky build.
Authorities are advising anyone who spots the suspects to avoid confrontation and immediately contact 911.
