In part of an interview with NBC News that aired on Friday's “NBC Nightly News” broadcast, Aurora, Colorado, Police Chief Todd Chamberlain said that although the city was not conquered, “there are new groups out there. ” he said. [has] came to the city of Aurora,” and the new group “undoubtedly caused great concern.” And while he doesn't want to be responsible for deportations, he said there is “very little federal assistance” in dealing with immigrants and “I think it's really a disaster.”
Garrett Haack, senior Capitol Hill correspondent for NBC News, said, “The Aurora Police Chief says crime is down. says it has not been overrun.
He then played a clip asking Chamberlain, “Do you know that Northern Lights?”
Chamberlain replied: “We are not in that situation at the moment, but what we are facing is… [has] Enter the city of Aurora. There is no doubt that these are of great concern. ”
Additionally, Haake said, “He wants federal assistance to deal with immigrants, not the responsibility of deporting them.”
