The former president was discussing crowd size at a rally when a woman in the audience yelled, “It's because we love you!”
The crowd erupted in applause as President Trump briefly identified the source of the praise with the crowd.
“Where's that woman? Stand up! Look at her. Oh! I say that's beautiful,” Trump said.
“Is she your wife? You know? I'd say she's a beautiful woman, but even if I said that, I wouldn't be allowed to say that given my political career. That's why I can't call you a beautiful woman.”
He turned away as if he was done and whispered, “But she is!”
“It's crazy what's going on! We have to be politically correct now.”
President Trump has frequently expressed his distaste for “PC culture,” likening it to a spreading virus.

Mr. Trump continued to hold rallies and promised to increase the Border Patrol force with up to 10,000 new agents if re-elected. The current total number of employees is approximately 20,000. He argued he would do this by asking Congress to fund a 10% pay increase for agents, in addition to a $10,000 retention and signing bonus.
Democrats claim Trump helped kill a bipartisan border security bill earlier this year that provided funding to hire up to 1,500 additional Customs and Border Protection agents and 1,600 asylum workers.
The number of immigrants who have illegally crossed the U.S.-Mexico border under the Biden administration has reached a record high of nearly 7 million, according to government data.
