Kamala Harris to sit down for Fox News interview with Bret Baier with Election Day just three weeks away

Vice President Kamala Harris is scheduled to be interviewed on Fox News this week, breaking the previous trend of Democratic candidates speaking only to liberals and local news outlets.

The interview with “Special Report'' host and chief political anchor Bret Baier will be recorded Wednesday afternoon and aired the same day at 6 p.m.

This sit-in was first reported by new york times.

Mr. Baier, 54, is scheduled to interview Mr. Harris, 59, in Pennsylvania, a state widely considered a key state in Veep's race against former President Donald Trump.

Wednesday will be the first time a Democratic presidential candidate has given an interview to the cable news giant since July 2016, when Hillary Clinton was slammed by then-“Fox News Sunday” host Chris Wallace. .

President Biden has never given a one-on-one interview with the network, either as a candidate or as commander in chief.

The interview is part of Harris' late-game media blitz with just three weeks until Election Day.

The vice president began his campaign by avoiding the press for weeks and refusing to sit down for interviews for more than a month after becoming his party's nominee.

But last week, Harris appeared on ABC News' “The View,” “The Howard Stern Show” and CBS' “The Howard Stern Show,” as well as her sex-focused podcast “Call Her Daddy.” He appeared on the show and began to express himself. The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. ”

The Trump campaign has criticized Harris for her reluctance to participate in networks that don't offer questions about softball.

The 45th president had invited Harris to host a debate on Fox News in early September, but Harris declined and asked instead for a second debate on CNN in October.

Also on Wednesday, Fox News will host a town hall where President Trump will speak exclusively to female voters. That event will be broadcast at 11 a.m.
