CNN contributor Scott Jennings said Sunday on “State of the Union” that Vice President Kamala Harris will struggle with male voters because the Democratic Party is more focused on “men who want to be women than men who just want to be men.” He said he is doing so.
“It's been a tough week,” Jennings said. “I mean, her favorites are down. They're having a hard time. The front page of this morning's New York Times is that Democrats are losing African-American voters, especially African Americans. It was an article about struggling with American men. This issue of gender disparity is real. This is a real problem, and you can see the Democratic Party responding to it in October. So now they finally realize that a lot of men think the Democratic Party cares more about men who want to be women than men who just want to be men. And no amount of hunting cosplay or disturbing videos will change that. I've made my bed.”
Political commentator Ashley Allison said: So what Kamala Harris is trying to do now is acknowledge the gender gap and continue to lead with a message of freedom. ”
