In late August, U.S. Surgeon General Dr. Vivek Murthy issued the following statement: Surgeon General’s recommendations on parental mental health and wellbeing.

Unfortunately, he's not kidding. This is indeed an accurate summary of Mercy's warning.
Unfortunately, this recommendation is just further evidence that the government is trying to dismantle the nuclear family, because it is the foundation of the society that the government is trying to control.
To discuss this issue, Glenn invites one of commentator's greatest talents, Isabel Brown, to discuss government overreach.
Ms Brown told Ms Glenn she found Ms Marcy's warning “very concerning”.
“The media and government structures are being used to make you believe that marriage and family, the most important foundations of our society, are somehow evil to you and will destroy your life. “It's concerning to me that they are taking advantage of the strategic advantage they have,” she says.
Glenn added that what's really stressing the family is the reality that these days it takes “3.5 income” to make ends meet.
“What about the idea of creating a country where one person's income can actually support a family?” he asks.
“That's absolutely true,” agrees Isabel. “Unfortunately, it seems like elected officials in particular are asking the wrong questions about how to solve these ills of society. Their answer is always the same: We need more government. is.”
But what actually needs to happen is the opposite of what Dr. Murthy recommends. We need more marriage and births and less government regulation.
Unfortunately, the government is currently winning the battle. Generation Z is at or in the process of getting married and having children, but the statistics aren't pretty.
“Our marriage rate is currently at its lowest level since 1867,” says Isabel.
Interest in starting a family has waned, and birth rates have declined. In 2023, the U.S. birth rate hit an all-time low.
It is clear that the government's calculated plan to demonize the nuclear family is working.
But there is hope for Isabel. And it is in the very generation that many of us have considered doomed.
“I'm incredibly optimistic about Gen Z,” she told Glenn, noting that statistically Zoomers are shockingly “the most culturally and politically conservative generation since World War II.” He pointed out that they are a generation of
