For King & Country Says Its High-Energy Shows Are a Door to the Gospel

Two members of an award-winning Christian band known for their energetic live performances and anthemic, faith-filled lyrics say they want to bring hope to a society searching for answers. Joel and Luke Smallbone, who won four Grammy Awards and 10 GMA Dove Awards as part of For King and Country, are currently traveling by plane in the United States. The unsung hero tour and will embark on their efforts. drummer boy christmas Tour in December.

A movie themed around the concert is also scheduled to be released. drummer boy christmaswill be shown in theaters from December 5th to 9th.

They say the group's energetic, multi-layered concerts are a gateway to the gospel.

“Obviously we want it to be exciting. We want it to be interesting,” Luke Smallbone told Crosswalk Headlines. “But what people are coming to hear are hopeful songs and messages of encouragement.”

Like the biblical first-century Christian Barnabas, Smallbone hopes the group's music will encourage listeners.

“He walked everywhere and just loved people and encouraged people,” Smallbone said. “My hope is that people come to the show and leave feeling a little bit better than when we saw them. And my hope is that maybe that's it.” [they leave] Their lives are a little more built up, a little more encouraged, a little more purposeful. Theater and everything we do is just to get people's attention and get people to come, and hopefully make them feel loved and seen. To make it feel — and, like I said, maybe leave it a little bit different. A little more joyful than when we found them. ”

Earlier this year, a movie was released about the Smallbones' parents. The unsung hero –Delivered a little joy and hope to movie fans. This is an origin story, following the Smallbones as they move from Australia to the United States and overcome hardship after hardship.

“By the grace of God, we are all in the belief and faith that this is a story that the world needs to hear, that America needs to hear, that families need to hear, that mothers need to hear. “It was the second-highest-grossing movie in America at the time of its release,'' said Joel Smallbone. “That gave us a lot of peace of mind.”

Next year, the band will take a break from touring to focus on their next album and next feature film.
