RFK Jr. hints at major role in agriculture policy in Trump administration

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested in a new video that he may join former President Trump's administration to work on agricultural policy if he wins in November.

Kennedy, who suspended much of his campaign and endorsed Trump earlier this year, outlined a list of priorities that he said he would direct the USDA to if elected.

“when @realDonaldTrump “If you put me in the USDA, I'm going to give farmers a way out of the current system that destroys the soil, makes people sick, and harms family farms,” he said. I wrote it on Monday Days after losing his mother, he posted a video on social platform X asking his supporters to donate to his “Make America Healthy Again” cause.

The donation page is dedicated to promoting support for the former president.

“America's current agricultural policy is destroying America's health at every level. It is destroying the economic health of farmers by forcing them to scale up or leave,” Kennedy said in the video. said. “Large corporate farms are doing well, but small and medium-sized family farms are being pushed to the brink of collapse.”

The independents then touched on the problems caused by toxic pesticides and contaminated soil, and shared plans to eliminate “conflicts of interest” within government agencies.

“We're going to ban the worst pesticides that are already banned in other countries, and we're going to eliminate conflicts of interest from USDA's dietary boards and commissions,” he said. “I've seen some of the things America's most innovative and regenerative farmers are doing today. They can literally green deserts. They're rebuilding degraded soils. , a well that has been dry for 30 years will start flowing again.”

“They heal the land,” Kennedy added.

He also promised to implement these changes once he is appointed by the Trump administration.

“If Donald Trump took me inside the building that I'm standing outside of right now, we wouldn't be in this situation anymore,” Kennedy told viewers. “America's agriculture will be revived and America's health will be revived.”

Mr. Kennedy has fought to have his name removed from ballots in key battleground states that will determine whether he wins or loses the election, but his name will still remain in most red and blue states.

The son of the late U.S. Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (D.N.Y.) announced last month that President Trump is already deciding on key figures for a possible second administration following his decision to support the former president. He said he chose him. He explained earlier this year that a role in the government is not a condition for support.
