Harris holds 2-point edge in tight North Carolina race: Poll

Vice President Harris has a narrow 2-point lead over former President Trump among likely voters in North Carolina, according to a poll released Wednesday.

Quinnipiac University Opinion poll reveals vice president He received support from 49% of likely voters, compared to the previous president's 47%. 1% supported Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party, 1% said they were undecided and another 1% declined to answer.

North Carolina is one of the few battleground states where Harris and Trump are in a close race. Mr. Trump leads Ms. Harris there by 1.4 percentage points, according to an average of North Carolina polls released by The Hill/Decision Desk Headquarters.

Former President Obama was the last Democratic candidate to win the Tar Heel State in 2008.

A Quinnipiac poll found that voters in North Carolina's gubernatorial race are more likely to support Attorney General Josh Stein (Democratic) over Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson (Republican) by a 12-point margin, with Stein at 52% and Robinson at 52%. It was also revealed that he had 40% support.

Robinson is facing major controversy following a bombshell report on CNN that exposed a wide range of inflammatory comments he made on message boards on pornographic websites more than a decade ago. A North Carolina Republican has denied the allegations and is currently suing CNN over the report.

Quinnipiac poll was carried out between On October 10th and 14th, there were 1,031 likely voters, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
