Media commentator Brian Stelter said Wednesday on CNN's “The Situation Room” that Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris' interview on Fox News was “a show of toughness and strength.”
“I'm one of the people who was in the situation room with Donald Trump, who was in the Oval Office with him, and I can tell you that you can't fix bad character,” said network commentator Alyssa Farrah Griffin. He is a man with a historic number of advisers, and his own Cabinet members have also spoken out to say that we believe this is an unfit person for public office. I think that's important to the Fox audience, frankly.”
“I think this strategy by Harris was a strategy by Google,” Stelter said. “She wanted to make sure that Fox viewers were aware of what she said because some of the comments she made in this interview were unfamiliar to Fox viewers.” We wanted people to Google some of the things that we wanted to see, like General Mark Milley saying that Trump is a deep-rooted fascist, which is something that's rarely reported on Fox News. It was the most hostile interview she's ever done, but instead of debating Trump again, she was able to get some of the talking points by participating in a debate with Bret Bayer. And a lot of viewers will go away saying, “Wow, she's willing to do that.'' It is a sign of toughness and strength. ”
“Oh, that's really impressive,” Wolf Blitzer said.
