Here’s when Kamala Harris’ aides ended Fox News interview

Fox News anchor Bret Baier said his interview with Kamala Harris was cut short Wednesday night, with the vice president's staff giving him a “hard wrap” despite her late arrival. He talked about the awkward moment.

“Mrs. Vice President, they're wrapping me up very hard here,” Baier said, cutting into just over 20 minutes of intense questioning, adding, “There's still a lot people want to know about you and your policies.” he added.

That included positions she had distanced herself from since her first presidential election in 2019.

Harris, 59, continued to weigh in on Baier, urging supporters to head to her campaign website before the two abruptly parted ways.

“Mrs. Vice President, they're being hard on me here,” Mr. Baier repeated.

“So, I–well, thank you for your time,” she said sheepishly.

“Thank you for your time,” he replied.

“It's nice to meet you,” she added.

Mr. Baier later said that at least four of Ms. Harris' campaign aides had signaled for her to end the press conference, and that she had stopped the tough questioning half an hour ago.

Harris showed up 17 minutes late, Baier told Fox panel members after the session aired, but that didn't stop her staff from ending the show after a 26-minute performance.

“There were four of us waving and talking like, 'This has to stop,'” the anchor revealed. “I had to get off there at the end.”

He noted that Harris has avoided pointed questions about her record, adding: “There are so many things, and maybe she should be doing more of these things.”
