Jake E. Lee, former guitarist for rock legend Ozzy Osbourne, was shot multiple times early Tuesday morning near Las Vegas. Associated Press reported.
Las Vegas police said Lee was shot at about 2:40 a.m. in an area about 10 miles south of the Strip and taken to a hospital, according to the Associated Press.
“By the grace of God, there is no damage to any major organs, he is fully responsive and is expected to make a full recovery.”
Lee's representative confirmed the shooting in a statement, the newspaper said, adding that the statement indicated Lee was conscious and “expected to make a full recovery.”
The Associated Press added that representative Amanda Kagan said the shooting occurred while Locker, 67, was walking his dog.
“As this incident remains under police investigation, no further comment is planned,” a representative statement said. “Lee and his family appreciate respect for their privacy at this time.” said.
Tim Hein, manager of Lee's rock band Red Dragon Cartel, told The Associated Press: “By the grace of God, there is no damage to any major organs and he is fully recovered and fully recovered.'' It is expected to recover.”
No arrests have been made and police said an investigation into the shooting was ongoing, the report said.
According to a report by the Associated Press, Lee, who was born in Norfolk, Virginia and raised in San Diego, was a member of the glam metal scene centered on Los Angeles' Sunset Strip in the 1980s, including several early versions of Ratt. He was said to have played guitar in a band.
According to the newspaper, Lee joined Ozzy Osbourne's band in 1982 and remained with him until 1987, playing on albums including 1983's “Bark at the Moon.'' Lee then performed with the metal band Badlands and released two solo albums, the Associated Press reported.
Mr. Osborne issued the following statement Tuesday night: ×: “It's been 37 years since I met Jake E. Lee, but I'm still shocked to hear what happened to him today. This is yet another senseless act of gun violence. I just hope he does.'' It's okay. ”
What else?
In 2022, Osbourne, the original vocalist of hard rock pioneers Black Sabbath, criticized the US and said he would return to the UK after living in Los Angeles for more than 20 years. His reasoning reflected the sentiments expressed by Osborn after Lee's shooting.
“Everything is ridiculous there,” Osborne said at the time. “I'm tired of people getting killed every day. God knows how many people were killed in the school shooting. And then there was that concert shooting in Las Vegas. … It's just crazy.”
Mr Osbourne's wife Sharon Osbourne said in July: Ozzy's health issues Relocation plans have stalled, including numerous surgeries and a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease.
