The Chiefs kicker announced the UPRIGHT PAC in a series of social media posts last weekend during the team's bye week.

“One of the things I talk about with our players every year in training camp is to use their platform to make a difference,” Hunt said. “We have players on both sides of the political spectrum, both sides of any controversial issue you want to raise. We want our players to use their platforms to bring about change. I’m not worried about doing that at all.”

Butker is a mainstay on the UPRIGHT PAC website, along with Missouri Republican Sen. Josh Hawley, who received Kicker's endorsement last week ahead of his upcoming showdown with Democrat Lucas Kunce.

“Every day we see our values under attack – from our schools, the media, and even our government. But we have the power to fight back and the things that have made this country great. There is an opportunity to restore traditional values,” PAC says on its website. “We are working to mobilize Christians across this country to ensure these values are upheld at the voting booth.

Butker made headlines in May for his “very intentional” commencement speech at Benedictine College, a private Catholic liberal arts school in Atchison, Kansas.

Most importantly, the three-time Super Bowl champion argued that women should take pride in being good mothers and wives after college, rather than just focusing on their careers. Critics labeled him a misogynist and questioned why he advised female graduates but not male ones. In his speech, Butker also noted that some Catholic leaders are “pushing a dangerous gender ideology on America's youth,” and that abortion is seen as two key themes for the Biden administration. and criticized Pride Month.

After this comment, the NFL began parting ways with Butker, issuing the following statement: “His views are not those of the NFL as an organization. The NFL is steadfast in its commitment to inclusion, which makes our league even stronger.”

“I just decided, 'You know what? “There are things that I truly believe will make this world a better place, and that's what I'm going to preach,” Butker said when asked about his speech during training camp. “If people don't agree, they won't agree. But I'm going to keep saying what I believe to be true and loving everyone along the way.”

Meanwhile, the Hunt family, through Unity Hunt, has supported a group imploring Missouri voters to reject a ballot measure that would overturn the Show-Me State's near-total abortion ban. Lamar Hunt family.

In August, Butker criticized 45.th President Donald Trump said his administration has been “great for women and their reproductive rights.” Butker added that he wants Republicans to return to the point where they “cannot compromise to protect the unborn.” Despite this, Kicker recently supported Trump in an interview. fox newsnamed him “the most pro-life president.”

Butker's PAC is not yet required to report donations for the 2024 election cycle.
