Spencer Pratt shares strategy to beat Mayor Karen Bass in November runoff election

Spencer Pratt has expressed optimism about a potential runoff in November after the recent election placed him in second, trailing incumbent Mayor Karen Bass.

“She knows it’s coming. I hope she’s ready,” Pratt stated Tuesday, clearly excited about the prospects ahead.

“I’m prepared for whatever challenges come my way,” he added, noting that while he initially expected to feel content regardless of the results, his confidence has grown significantly.

Pratt mentioned he is eager to assemble a team to help lead Los Angeles in the coming months.

“We’ve got five months to create the dream team for this city,” he remarked.

His upbeat comments follow Bass advancing to the runoff, with Pratt holding onto second place, ahead of Socialist City Councilor Nitya Raman.

Despite many votes still needing to be counted, analysts are increasingly viewing a face-off between Bass and Pratt as inevitable.

Pratt entered election night ready for any outcome, stating, “We’ve got that team. We’ll see who steps up, as retaliation is a concern for Bass.”

He believes a possible runoff would provide an opportunity to demonstrate the level of support for his campaign.

“The next five months will allow me to strengthen my team and showcase the Democratic backing I have,” he remarked.

During his discussions with the press, Pratt argued that his outsider status is resonating with voters.

“Ultimately, people just want honesty; they want to connect with someone genuine,” he commented.

Pratt maintained that Los Angeles residents are looking for someone who will champion their community.

“They’re seeking a truth-teller willing to advocate for them,” he stated. “They want a fighter who stands up when their leaders fail. I’m ready to be that person for Los Angeles.”

Pratt aimed to clarify that his candidacy for mayor is serious and not merely a vanity project. “I’m prepared to demonstrate that this is real and take charge of this city,” he affirmed.

He expressed gratitude to his supporters, noting how his campaign has transformed from an unlikely start to a serious challenge.

“Thanks to everyone who backed me in the comments and to all the residents of Los Angeles and beyond,” Pratt said.

He took a parting shot at Raman, who remained in third with no votes tallied on Tuesday night.

“The communists have already lost,” Pratt declared.

As vote counting continues, he looks forward to the coming months leading up to a potential encounter with Bass.

“She could have a debate every Friday if she likes,” Pratt emphasized. “Let’s have as many discussions as Mayor Bass wants. She knows it’s coming. I hope she’s ready.”
