Harris to hecklers at rally: 'I think you meant to go to the smaller one down the street'

Vice President Harris on Thursday mocked hecklers at a campaign rally in Wisconsin, saying they should instead attend “smaller” rallies “down in the street.”

Harris was interrupted in La Crosse, Wisconsin, while speaking about the fight for abortion rights in the upcoming election.

The hecklers began shouting as she criticized former President Trump for appointing three Supreme Court justices who helped vote to overturn Roe v. Wade.

“Oh, you guys are in the wrong rally,” Harris said, drawing a roar from the crowd of supporters. “No, I think we were going to the little store down the street.”

The Harris campaign then shared the following: clip of the moment Add multiple fire emojis on social media.

The vice president was holding three separate campaign stops in Wisconsin on Thursday as part of a week-long blitzkrieg into the “blue wall” states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.

In addition to La Crosse, the Democratic candidate also visited Milwaukee and had an event scheduled in Green Bay later Thursday.

The average Wisconsin poll from Decision Desk Headquarters/The Hill shows Mr. Trump leading Ms. Harris in the state by less than 1 percentage point.

In 2016, Trump became the first Republican candidate to win the state in more than 30 years, but in 2020, President Biden won the state by less than 1 percentage point.
