Liam Payne's girlfriend Kate Cassidy has broken her silence following his tragic death at the age of 31.
“Thank you for all the kind words and love shown to me. I am completely lost,” she posted on her Instagram Story on Friday. “Nothing has felt real these past few days.”
“I ask and pray that you will grant me grace and space to proceed with this matter privately,” she continued. “Liam, my angel. You are everything. I want you to know that I loved you unconditionally and completely. I will always love you for the rest of my life. I love you Liam.”
Cassidy, 25, traveled to Buenos Aires, Argentina, with the musician, but returned to Florida alone two days ago, suffering a fractured skull and falling from a third-floor hotel balcony, where she died instantly from “serious injuries.”
A few weeks earlier, the couple had watched former One Direction bandmate Niall Horan perform on October 2nd.
“We're going to Argentina,” Payne said on her Instagram Story. “One, because we want to. Two, because we want to. And three, Niall Horan is playing over there, so let's go say hi.” Because I think so.”

Payne and Cassidy were together for two years, staying at the Casasul Palermo Hotel.
Cassidy revealed online that her stay in Buenos Aires ended up being longer than planned, and what was supposed to be a short visit turned into a two-week vacation.

Payne and Cassidy have since been spotted together on romantic outings and red carpet events, including the premiere of former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson's 2023 documentary.
Cassidy said she met Payne at a bar in Charleston, South Carolina, while she was working as a waitress.
