Nick Pasqual Convicted of Attempted Murder for Stabbing Former Girlfriend Allie Shehorn Over 20 Times

Nick Pascal Found Guilty of Attempted Murder

Actor Nick Pascal, known for How I Met Your Mother, was convicted on Friday of attempted murder. This conviction stems from an incident in which he allegedly stabbed his former girlfriend, Hollywood makeup artist Aly Shehorn, more than 20 times during a break-in at her home in Southern California in 2024.

The 36-year-old faces the potential for a life sentence as a result of the brutal attack on Shehorn, an award-winning special effects makeup artist whose work includes roles in Rebel Moon – Part 1: Son of Fire and Babylon.

During court testimony last week, Shehorn, now 37, revealed scars across her body and recounted a terrifying history of abuse leading up to the stabbing.

According to reports, the couple had separated following a heated dispute, and Shehorn had secured a restraining order against Pascal prior to the violent attack.

She tearfully recounted her experience in court: “I locked the door, and he started punching holes in it and forced his way in. I thought there might be another way out, so I just ran into the bathroom.”

Beyond attempted murder, jurors found Pascal guilty of forcible rape, first-degree burglary, domestic violence, and causing bodily injury to a partner, as indicated by court documents. Sentencing is set for June 2nd.

The attack happened around 4:30 a.m. in May 2024. Shehorn was discovered by a surrogate mother and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. Medical teams conducted multiple surgeries as she recovered from severe injuries to her neck, arms, and abdomen, spending nearly a week in intensive care.

Pascal fled California shortly after the incident but was captured a week later in Sierra Blanca while reportedly trying to cross into Mexico.

Additional court documents revealed alarming details about their relationship. In her restraining order, Shehorn accused Pascal of various forms of abuse, including hitting her with a belt, breaking doors, and previous incidents of strangulation and sexual assault.

Before this attack dramatically altered her life, Shehorn had made a name for herself in the film industry. She received the Best SFX Makeup award at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival in 2023 for her work on Incorrigible.

After a challenging recovery period, Shehorn returned to her passion. Since 2025, she has accumulated nine new credits, including an upcoming action comedy titled Code 3, emphasizing that her narrative did not conclude with the attack.
