A 66-year-old bicyclist has died after being hit by a pickup truck in the Bronx, police said.
Officials said the fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Westchester Avenue and Commonwealth Avenue shortly before 12 p.m. Saturday.
Emergency services transported the victim to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
The driver of the pickup truck, 24, remained at the scene.
Authorities say no crime is suspected at this time.
Police said the man was driving his GMC pickup northbound on Commonwealth Avenue when he “collided” with a bicyclist who was riding eastbound on Westchester Avenue.
“The driver remained at the scene. There have been no arrests and the investigation is ongoing,” an NYPD spokesperson told the Post on Saturday afternoon.
The NYPD did not release the victim's name pending notification of family members.
