Donald Trump has an edge over Kamala Harris, according to the latest USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll.

Polls show Trump's lead nationally is just 1%. The last poll showed Kamala Harris leading 48% to 43%.

The poll also found that Kamala Harris is trailing among black and Latino voters.

The latest USA TODAY/Suffolk University poll has Harris at 45% and Trump at 44%.

The same poll in August found Harris leading Trump 48% to 43% after the Democratic National Convention. The new survey, released Monday, questioned 1,000 likely voters by landline and cellphone from Oct. 14 to 18. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.

Harris lost support among Latino and black voters in the seven weeks between surveys. A new poll shows Latino voters now support Mr. Trump 49% to 38%.
