Israel reiterated a new proposal made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu last Monday. Hamas terrorists who free Israeli hostages are allowed to live. Those who do not will be hunted down and killed.
There are still 101 Israeli hostages held by Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and it is estimated that about a third of them have died.
But the killing of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar by Israeli forces last Wednesday has renewed hopes for a hostage deal, even though it is unclear with whom Israel will negotiate. In the vacuum, private actors are beginning to step forward. Daniel Birnbaum publicly stated: offer It will pay $100,000 for each living Israeli hostage released by October 23.
Israeli government spokesman David Mensah, representing the prime minister's office, was asked at a press conference about these offers to release civilian hostages, some of which date back to October last year, in the early weeks of the war.
Without directly answering questions, Mensah reiterated that the Hamas terrorists who released the Israeli hostages “without further harm” would “flee for their lives.” He reiterated that the offer came directly from Netanyahu.
As Breitbart News reported last Thursday, Prime Minister Netanyahu gave a speech in Hebrew: And on the same basis, I say, whoever harms our hostages, his blood will fall on his head. ”
Meanwhile, Israel continues operations in both Gaza and south Lebanon, rooting out terrorists in the latter and seizing weapons depots in the latter. Israel also launched airstrikes against Hezbollah financing centers on Sunday.
