I voted early Monday morning for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance. As with the nation, there was activity at polling places in Virginia. Virginia's state elections are in an “off year,” so the early high turnout here is precisely due to increased interest in the presidential race, said Captain Hung Kao (U.S. Navy, retired). ) is being boosted by his Senate candidacy.

This year, Republicans are running six veteran senators for the Senate, and all have a chance to win. With the continued efforts of popular Governor Glenn Youngkin and Trump's growing momentum in the commonwealth, Cao, a former special operations officer (explosive ordnance disposal and deep-sea diving), was elected in Virginia by U.S. Sen. Tim Kaine. It's approaching the congressman. If Senate seats were chosen based on merit and diversity, Cao would be the winner.

Indiana Congressman Jim Banks is a Navy veteran who served a year in the reserves in Afghanistan while serving in the Indiana State Senate. Banks is almost declared the winner, but he continues to run the tape.

Captain Sam Brown graduated from West Point University and was medically retired from the U.S. Army as a captain after being deployed to Afghanistan where he was seriously injured in an IED. The Purple Heart recipient supports incumbent Democrat Jacky Rosen, but Trump's appeal in the Silver State could help Brown pull off a major upset.

Tim Sheehy has a solid lead in the polls in Montana and is likely to defeat incumbent Jon Tester early on election night. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, Sheehy completed several deployments and hundreds of missions as a Navy SEAL officer and team leader in Iraq, Afghanistan, South America, and the Pacific region. After leaving the Navy, Sheehy founded Bridger Aerospace and its sister company, Ascent Vision Technologies, with great success.

Another Academy graduate is David McCormick, a West Point graduate and former member of the 82nd Airborne Division. Mr. McCormick is statistically tied with incumbent Bob Casey Jr., but some polls show him trailing, largely because Mr. Casey is a modest supporter of Mr. Biden. I'm falling behind. Despite Casey's move to the left, Pennsylvania has continued to move to the right for 20 years.

Mr. Cao, of Virginia, is also a naturalized American, one of two Republican candidates for the Senate who were born outside the United States and have gone through the legal immigration process. The other is Bernie Moreno from Ohio. Born in Colombia, his family moved to Florida as a child. Mr. Moreno was elected to the Ohio General Assembly shortly after leaving Yale 50 years ago and has since risen to the same level as Sherrod Brown, a perennial politician who has not been on the state or federal payroll. Ta. Brown is a far-left vote in the Senate, but for decades the last name Brown meant money on election day in Ohio. However, it is Moreno who shines and shines in this election campaign. Brown looks old and tired, out of proportion to the ruby-red Buckeye State.

Republicans are also competing against more traditional Republican candidates, but also in states where Democrats typically lay up.

Deep-blue Montgomery County would also benefit from Maryland's popular former Gov. Larry Hogan's staunch support for Israel.

Businessman Eric Hovde is pleading with Wisconsin incumbent Tammy Baldwin to send support to the national Democratic Party. Kali Lake has an edge over Ruben Gallegos in Arizona as voters focus on Gallegos, the true radical, the radical rather than the “liberal” or “leftist.” Nera Domenici is eyeing a chance to reclaim her late father's U.S. Senate seat from Mexico. And this year's upset is likely to occur in Michigan. In Michigan, Mike Rogers, a former FBI agent and chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, is the strongest candidate the Republican Party has offered to Michigan's electors in decades. Rogers began his adult life with a four-year stint as a lieutenant in the United States Army. He went straight from the Army to the FBI, then to Congress.

Nationwide, the tide is tilting toward Trump as Vice President Harris' panicked shift from the citadel of campaigning to a mass interview rodeo has sent many of her supporters back to the bench. It might be. Will she be able to turn things around in the next two weeks? perhaps. But to pull it off, you'll have to do some impressive and difficult interviews. It's possible. But the possibility is low.
