First, if you haven't downloaded iOS 18 yet, download it using the following method.
- Open. settings app On your iPhone.
- tap common and select Software update.
- If an iOS 18 update is available, tap . Download and install.

- Once the download is complete, your iPhone will restart to complete the installation.

Apple has made major improvements to the Photos app in iOS 18. The app now automatically organizes your photo library into collections based on topic. Although it may seem confusing at first, it is designed to make browsing your memories easier and more intuitive.

1) Photo app operations
- After installing iOS 18, photo app.
- At the top, Familiar grid view of your library.
- Pinch your fingers, Zoom out to see a wider field of view of your library.
- From there you can jump to a specific item month and year. When you release your finger and move it, zoom in Whether it's a series of photos or a single photo.

2) View by month or year
You can change the view to display photos by Year, Month, or All.
- click all To view organized photos date From old to new.
- tap month Click to select a month and view its photos.
- tap year Click at the bottom to go to a specific year.

3) Sort and filter photos
- For normal display, double arrow Icon at the bottom left of the screen.
- You can reorder your library from the menu recently added or by Date of capture.
- tap filter.

- You can then filter and review your library. Favorites, Edited, Photos, Videos and screenshot.
- If you want to customize your photo viewing experience, tap . Display options to zoom in or zoom outShow photos on. aspect ratio grid, Include or exclude? screenshot, share with you or shared library badge.

4) Browse the collection
- Swipe down the screen To view the generated collection: people and pets, recent days, album, Featured photos, memory, trip, shared album and fixed collection.
- Tap specific collection Click to view photos.
- Depending on the collection, Swipe up or down or left and right Browse each photo.
- Tap. “×” Click to close the collection and return to the previous screen.

5) Sorting and filtering collections
Just like the main library, you can sort and filter the photos in your collection.
- When you open the collection, double arrow.
- From this menu you can sort by Oldest or Newest first.

6) Generate a movie from your photo collection
The Photos app automatically creates a movie from a set of photos in your collection.
- Once you open your collection, tap movie It's at the bottom.
- a generated movie Playback begins with the title and BGM.
- Tap. screen Pause or play.
- Select. sound icon Click at the bottom to apply different filters and select your music.
- Click. 3 dots on the side in the top right Share the movie, view the map, edit the movie timeline, edit the movie title, add to favorites, add to favorite memories, create a key photo for the movie or hide photos from movie.

7) Delete or reorder your collection
You can customize your collections by removing or reordering specific collections.
- swipe down At the bottom of the screen, tap Customize and sort.
- All default collections are displayed on the screen. tap check mark If you want to hide it, turn it off.
- To change the order of the collection, three tier hamburger icons from all collections and Please drag To a new place.

8) Find categorized photos
If you're wondering where all those carefully organized dog photos or house photos went, don't panic. It's probably still in your album collection. To find them:
- swipe down Access your album collection.
- Tap where it says album To open it.
- look for yours custom album here.
