Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Walz made the claim during an appearance on ABC on October 21, 2024. The View He claimed to be a “better shooter” than the Republicans who mocked him while fiddling with a shotgun.
On October 13, 2024, Breitbart News commented on a viral video of Walz hunting pheasants, noting that Walz, a self-proclaimed hunter, was having trouble loading his gun.
In the video, Walz awkwardly bends over the shotgun and tries to load it, saying, “It's never a good fit.”
Republicans responded to the video by laughing at Walz, who repeatedly used his time on the campaign trail to remind voters that he was a hunter.

Walz replied, “Well, I can shoot it better than any of them, I guarantee you that.”
