Harris Says She Deserves Another 4 Years in Power to Lower Costs

Vice President Kamala Harris told NBC News on Tuesday that it will take four more years of administration to cut costs, which have increased by about 20% overall under the Biden-Harris administration.

Harris cast the tie-breaking vote in the Senate on the so-called anti-inflation law.

“Are the last four years an obstacle in this race?” NBC's Harry Jackson asked Harris.

“This is how I see it. First, let me be clear: My administration is not a continuation of the Biden administration,” Harris responded.

“I've brought my own experiences and ideas to it, and it's informed many of my focus areas, most of which are in line with your point about reducing costs,” she said. added. “So my plan and my policies are right in line with your points, and will not only do what we have to do to lower the cost of living, but also help people not just get by, but move forward. We will also help you do that.”

A majority of Americans (52%) feel worse off now than they were four years ago under former President Donald Trump, a Gallup poll found Friday.

Four years ago, America was in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, which had a major impact on the economy and the lives of millions of Americans. Despite the crisis, Americans believe their lives are better.

Under the Biden-Harris administration, costs soared, Russia invaded Ukraine, Hamas and Iran attacked Israel, illegal immigrants invaded the southern border, and the nation suffered a deadly Afghanistan withdrawal.
